Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Balsamic Glaze are a flavor-packed addition to any festive meal. These tender Brussels sprouts are roasted to perfection, then drizzled with a sweet and tangy balsamic glaze that will have everyone coming back for seconds.

This recipe serves 4 and it's a simple yet impressive recipe that's sure to be a hit at your holiday gatherings. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. In a large bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

  3. Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet.

  4. Roast in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are tender and slightly crispy.

  5. While the Brussels sprouts are roasting, whisk together the balsamic vinegar and honey in a small bowl.

  6. Remove the Brussels sprouts from the oven and drizzle the balsamic-honey glaze over them.

  7. Optional: Sprinkle chopped pecans over the top for added crunch and flavor.

  8. Return the Brussels sprouts to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the glaze to caramelize.

  9. Serve the roasted Brussels sprouts as a healthy and delicious side dish for your holiday meal.

Notes:

  • Customization: For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes before roasting or a squeeze of lemon juice after glazing.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for the best texture.
  • Glaze: If the balsamic glaze is too thick, thin it with a bit of water or extra balsamic vinegar.
  • Serving Suggestions: This dish pairs well with roasted meats, fish, or as part of a vegetarian spread.
  • Pecans: Adding chopped pecans is optional but highly recommended for added crunch and a nutty flavor.
